By using the following process you will be able to create a well formed goal with NLP, discover what you really want and to achieve it!
1. First, you have to know what you really want. This must be stated in the positive as your subconscious mind does not know the difference between positive and negative.
2. Set the specific time where and when do you want to have it? Where and when do you not want it?
3. Visualization! Visualize how will you know when you have it? What will you be doing when you get it? What will you see, hear and feel like when you have it?
4. It is very important that the goal must be within your own realm of influence i.e. is something over which you have control. Is this something which you, yourself, can achieve? Or does it require that OTHER people behave in a certain way?
5. What are the advantages and the disadvantages? There are always disadvantages in making a change – being alert to these keeps you `at cause' by making it your choice.
6. Which of your values will be fulfilled by achieving this goal? What's important to you about getting it? What will this goal help you avoid feeling? What is the benefit of this goal?
7. In order to turn your dream into a concrete reality you must take that vital first step, because without it you won't build up sufficient momentum to take you to the next step.
